Victoria Astronomy Convention VASTROC is a biennial conference for Amateur Astronomers from around Victoria.
VASTROC is open not only to members of astronomy groups, but also to other community groups with common interests and, indeed, to all members of the public with a fascination about the Universe.
The convention can include workshops, talks, displays and interactive forums in a social atmosphere.
Visitors from interstate and overseas are of course most welcome, too!
Topics can include:
- Gravitational waves
- Astronomy for Beginners
- Astrophotography
- Keeping our skies dark
- Astronomy outreach
- and much more
The atmosphere of a VASTROC is relaxed and all astronomers, new and old, locals and from interstate or overseas are most welcome. Astronomical societies around Victoria are a great place to start exploring your interest in Astronomy and viewing the night sky.
